Barbecue grills are tightly regulated in Fairfax County. Only electric grills are permitted to be used near multi-family residential buildings. Fairfax County Ordinance states that no charcoal grill or any gasoline or other flammable liquid or liquefied petroleum gas-fired stove or similar device shall be ignited or used on balconies or within 15 feet of any apartment building.

Flammable Materials
It is imperative that everyone understand that no gasoline, oil, charcoal, or other flammable materials may be stored anywhere at Talltree South, including the storage areas. NO charcoal or gas grills may be used or stored at Talltree South, other than those installed in the common outdoor areas by the Association.
Fire Extinguishers
You should purchase and maintain a smoke extinguisher for your unit. There is also an extinguisher on the terrace level and on the first floor of every building.
